Simon mellor
Managing Partner
18 years at Saatchi & Saatchi plc working alongside Maurice and Charles Saatchi, as well as Martin Sorrell, means there is not much Simon doesn’t know about running agencies. He was a key member of the Saatchi team devising the company’s growth strategy. This background provides the foundation for The Mellor Partnership’s business focussed approach.
As a Main Board Director of the publicly listed company, Simon analysed, negotiated and acquired agencies worldwide and then helped manage their subsequent integration into the Saatchi Group. He has held management responsibility for agencies across all disciplines while also been responsible for handling all Saatchi’s corporate communications activities.
Simon set up The Mellor Partnership in 1996 intent on establishing a business that would be known for its high standards and its principles of openness, honesty and integrity. He focuses on headhunting at senior board level, with particular expertise in CEO and CFO appointments, as well as in-house CMO positions.
Jason esfandiary

After three successful years in market research Jason made a career change and joined The Mellor Partnership in 1996 as a specialist advertising search consultant.
Using his in depth knowledge and experience of the Market Research and Marketing Communications industries, Jason has built up an enviable reputation specialising in executive search for Strategic Marketeers, Account, Media and Visual Planners and strategists. He has successfully placed candidates from junior to the most senior level for an eclectic range of businesses within the creative industries – including Advertising, PR, Branding, CRM, and Content both in the UK and Internationally.
A Partner in the business, Jason knows all there is to know about planning and planners and who will fit best with his clients. His valued advice helps clients grow their business and candidates advance their careers.
Paul North
Partner
Paul began his career as a researcher at a media headhunters working with EMAP, Ziff Davis, and Reed Elsevier before joining Clear Channel International as a Client Services Manager.
Four successful years followed, developing new business and working directly with clients such as Nestlé, Mars, Columbia TriStar, EMI, and Virgin Music and with media agencies such as Mindshare and Starcom.
Paul then joined The Mellor Partnership, becoming a Partner working across a breadth of clients on roles in account management, strategy and business development, at all levels, while building a particular depth of knowledge of the design and branding world.
Paul's extensive expertise and breadth of agency knowledge allows him to headhunt across any role, finding exceptional candidates who add more value to any business.
